Keeping The Community Moving
May, 2020
In times as challenging as these, it’s easy to focus on the negatives. At Boyd Moving, we pride ourselves on looking at the bigger picture and seeing the silver lining. Our team has been doing everything we can to help our community and those in need.
Here’s what we’ve been up to:
We’ve frozen our rates
The pandemic has caused an unfortunate spike in unemployment. As an essential service, we understood that this was an opportunity to makes things easier for those around us. We’ve frozen our prices at the highly discounted winter rates until further notice to help provide some needed relief in these uncertain times.
We’ve donated to local charities
Many families and seniors can’t afford to stock up on basic necessities. That’s why we donated $10,000 and 850 boxes to the Ottawa Food Bank. All donations ensure that this necessary service continues across the city, getting food to those who need it most.
We encourage you to donate what you can.
We made deliveries for the United Way
As a part of our ongoing efforts to support our community, we’ve donated our time to delivering sanitizer and equipment (PPE) for United Way East Ontario – Centraide de l’Est de l’Ontario partners in locations from Embrun to Arnprior, and everywhere in between.
We delivered food for healthcare workers
Dave Dubue, our VP of Sales & Marketing drove down to the Kingston General Hospital to drop off dozens of freshly-made Kettleman’s bagels for their hard-working medical staff.
This is a very difficult time for everyone around the globe, but we can all take comfort in knowing that it won’t last forever. We might be in the thick of things now, but if we all work together and do our part, we’ll make it out stronger than ever.
